Yarns from

|
Elsebeth Lavold is the only Swedish knitwear designer with her own yarn label. She personally decides which yarns to include, their properties and colors. Spinning companies in Europe, South America,
Japan and China take her visions from requirements to delightful yarns; produced for and marked by Knitting Fever Inc., the leading US yarn company.
This joint venture has resulted in a wide variety of yarns with Elsebeth Lavold's name on them, displayed below, and more will follow. The yarns are distributed in the US, in Canada (by Nova Yarn),
and in parts of Scandinavia.

75% Wool, 25% Eucalyptus, how's that for an interesting composition. Elsebeth
found the yarn unexpectedly soft, and at the same time with a dry, almost papery
feel to it. Quite unusual and very appealing, and very pleasant to knit with.
Discontinued, but may still be available in stores.

A 100% Peruvian Wool yarn that didn't get its name
just randomly - Elsebeth truly loves it for many reasons. It has a lot of loft,
which means that you can work at many gauges; for colorwork you may want to knit
more tightly, whereas for cables you may prefer to loosen up the gauge. The wool
has a lovely matte sheen that shows colors well, and the garments hold their
shape.

98% Peruvian Baby Alpaca, 2% Polyamide.
"This yarn is so thick, light and, well, sensual, that at least I can clearly
hear it whisper “Touch me!” And although it is slightly bouclé-ish in
appearance, it works very well with structural patterns, cables etc., which is
unusual. I didn’t have to hold the sample ball for many seconds to know that
this was a yarn I wanted in my line." (From the Introduction to
The Come Closer Collection)

A thicker version of Silky Wool but just as lovely to knit with, and with the
same slightly tweedy appearance. 80% Wool, 20% Silk,
spun by the same Italian company that makes Silky Wool. Excellent for
jackets and cardigans, but highly usable for sweaters as well. This yarn has
character enough to provide surface interest to plain stockinette, but still
shows up e.g. cable patterns well.

From the Introduction of The Lazy Days Collection,
the book that introduces the yarn: "For me, it was an immediate love affair,
because of its handle, its lovely drape, the distinctive silk slubs and this
for a yarn rather elusive quality that I, for lack of a better word,
would call sensuality." 90% Viscose, 10% Silk,
