In addition to books*) with Viking Knits designs, knit kits (yarn + instructions) in an extensive range of yarns have been available to Scandinavian knitters ever since the Knitting Along the Viking Trail exhibit started touring in Sweden in 1997.
   When Elsebeth Lavold got her own yarn label, she obviously didn't want to "compete with herself", so the majority of the kits were withdrawn from the market. Some of these designs have already been reworked in her own yarns and included in books.
   Today, only one design, Nanna, is still available as a knit kit, and only in Sweden and Denmark. Those of you in other parts of the world may still enjoy the photo.
