As you can probably tell already from the cover photos, Lazy Days has to do with the mood of the collection rather than the effort of the designer. Many of the designs are laid-back, and quite a few are easy to knit, but they’re all characterized by the imaginative mind and technical excellence of Elsebeth Lavold.
   Add a lovely new yarn, ViSilk (as seen in the front cover design Jemma), and you have all the ingredients for yet another inspired, and inspiring, Designer’s Choice knitwear collection. Mae, with its extravagant neckline, can be knitted in either ViSilk or in Bambool, as in the photo on the back cover.
   Flattering garment shapes, pretty and unusual edgings and a lot of lace patterns are other highlights in this collection from a designer otherwise celebrated for her cable designs. But in-between the projects for the lazy knitter, there are some typical Lavold challenges, like a combination of a short cable and a lace pattern, and a unique spiral shell motif.
   Treat yourself to days and days of tranquil knitting, resulting in relaxed and elegant garments from the pen and needles of a designer that is the total opposite of lazy.
